London, UK – 9 September 2024: base, the leading managed service provider for integrated online media solutions, and Hiscale, leaders in scalable media processing solutions, are excited to announce their partnership to transform video transcoding in the cloud.
Partnering with Hiscale allows base to provide content creators and rights holders flexible and cost-effective video transcoding at scale to support their delivery and distribution needs.
It is set to provide an unrivalled user experience and array of complex media file format conversions. base will manage the cloud infrastructure for its customers, to support workflow integrations with its enterprise-grade media asset management solutions, cloud-based post-production systems, and other media-focused SaaS applications. The solution will be available from base on a subscription basis, with different tiers based on functionality and throughput.
This robust solution allows users to access an API, that utilizes their own rules-based transcoding workflows, supporting raw formats from camera cards to broadcast, social, and other OTT deliverables. The elasticity of the underlying base cloud infrastructure allows for the processing of large volumes of content, empowering customers to focus on their client deliverables.
As a managed cloud service provider of FLICS, base provides end-to-end support from deployment and scaling to ongoing management and optimization. The offering eases concerns for end users who lack the in-house resources needed to manage a cloud-based infrastructure effectively. They can leverage the full potential of the video transcoding solution while leaning on base’s expertise for cloud hosting, software integrations and implementing new workflows.
