Fitzrovia Post is an audio post-production company for animation and kids’ TV. They specialize in providing top-level sound design, foley, voiceovers, SFX, and everything related to the sound aspect of post-production. Its team approached us at base to provide a scalable solution for its storage needs.

Fitzrovia Post has a number of studios and clients around the UK, as well as several freelance staff. When they approached us, its team found sending raw footage via couriers around the UK difficult. They required an accessible and quick way to access their files without the cost and time of a courier. They also had a small onsite NAS (network-attached storage) server, which was very old and was starting to reach capacity. This meant that lots of time was spent backing up and deleting files to free up storage space rather than working on projects for their clients. All client assets are transferred directly into the cloud storage platform and used to create various projects, which are then accessed by recording engineers/mixes in the same place. The team uses accelerated file transfer to securely send session files as packages or via a workspace when delivering record files. This means that users can remotely access the files they require immediately over the cloud and edit in real-time using their in-house editing tools.

Instead, they work directly onto the secure space on the platform, then output the files within it once the project has been completed and access is removed.
