Hours: 37.5 hours

 

Position Overview:

The Media Workflow Analyst is responsible for configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Media Asset Management (MAM) systems and custom media application integrations to support efficient media workflows. This role involves analyzing and documenting current processes with customers, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance media asset handling and optimal benefits from cloud-based working. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the analyst ensures seamless integrations, workflow automation, and adherence to business requirements. Additionally, the position requires strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical challenges, create process documentation, and provide user training to ensure system adoption and efficiency.  The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and people-person, capable of working directly with customer stakeholders at different seniority levels and across departments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and configuring media workflow and MAM setup – ideally using native features, as well as contributing to the customer requirements in the specification of the base custom integrations for that customer
  • General understanding of public cloud (AWS, IBM etc) S3 storage tiering and working in collaboration with our Engineering team across large-scale global data migration projects
  • Capturing workflow requirements from users, superusers, and key stakeholders to optimize the rollout of the cloud solution with integrated MAM (whilst recording a full backlog of features and future integrations for further releases)
  • Forward looking at, and testing new product integrations and new AI services in collaboration with the R&D team
  • Advising, training, and documenting workflows for end users ready for the launch of the MAM system
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, progress reports, and risk assessments
  • Building excellent relationship management with key clients and internal and external teams including, senior-level personnel
  • Ability to work within Scrum, Kanban, and other Lean frameworks

Requirements

Expert in the following products and services from a high-level config/integrations standpoint.

  • Experience with Media Asset Management (MAM) systems and familiarity with leading configurations on MAM platforms. Hands-on experience with iconik MAM would be of significant benefit
  • Knowledge of content workflows, media processing, and distribution
  • General understanding of cloud, API and, AWS storage tiers
  • Understanding of MAM systems with integrated transcoding pipelines
  • Metadata schema creation, import/export/mapping
  • Use of third-party AI modules with MAM systems auto-tagging
  • Data Migration experience into cloud platforms such as AWS (including via file transfer software, Storage Gateway agents, and mass migration devices)
  • Strong process analysis skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to cater the communication appropriately to the level of the audience from peers, engineering teams, and external partners

Management Skills:

  • Proven ability to be the lead analysis and configuration on multiple concurrent projects
  • Understanding of methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

 

Communication & Leadership:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong leadership skills and a self-starter
