Job Description
Award-winning managed cloud services provider base is seeking a technically skilled and motivated finance assistant. base provides online cloud-based media solutions to many well-known companies and organisations. Launched in 2015, base is experiencing significant growth and is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant who will play a key role in automating our accounting processes.
In this role, you will support the day-to-day accounting procedures and contribute to various finance-related projects, ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s financial processes.
The Company is growing rapidly. On-site training and learning from assisting colleagues will require attendance in the office. Future remote working will be determined by the level of automation, completion of training and requirements of the company.
Role Responsibilities
- Purchase Ledger – invoice coding, data entry and payment preparation.
- Sales Ledger – posting customer receipts, issuing monthly statements, chasing overdue accounts.
- Credit card reconciliations and the payment of staff expense claims.
- Ownership of various bank reconciliations ensuring alignment between bank statements and the general ledger.
- Preparation/posting of accrual and prepayment journals.
- Payroll administration.
- Fixed asset register maintenance.
- Ad hoc reporting.
Essential Skills
- Experience with Xero accounting package is desirable.
- Qualified bookkeeper or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience as a Finance Assistant.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Able to work independently under minimal supervision.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- Native language skills – English
